Nike and Palace Unveil Manor Place Cultural Hub and Debut P90 Collection
US sportswear giant Nike and London-based streetwear/skateboarding brand Palace have embarked on a groundbreaking initiative, described as "redefining collaboration," with the inauguration of Manor Place. This new cultural landmark in South London, which opened its doors on November 11th, also marks the introduction of their eagerly awaited first co-branded product line, the P90 collection.
Manor Place itself is a local historic landmark, dating back to 1895 and steeped in sporting heritage, located near the regenerating Elephant & Castle neighborhood. The venue has undergone a significant revitalization, transforming it into a vibrant hub for sport, creativity, and community. Crucially, it is open to all, every day, free of charge, reflecting a deep commitment to accessibility and public engagement.
The space is thoughtfully designed to inspire the next generation of creatives, skaters, and football players, featuring three distinct zones to cater to diverse interests: The Park and The Cage, The Front Room, and The Residency.
The Park and The Cage are set to become a world-class polished concrete skatepark, meticulously crafted with ramps, ledges, and benches. Uniquely, this skatepark sits directly above a one-of-a-kind underground football cage, creating an innovative rotating playground system that offers a truly multi-use space for various activities.
Within The Park, visitors will find architectural nods to Palace’s other iconic London skate spots, including Southbank, Stockwell, and Victoria Benches. This versatile area is poised to host an exciting calendar of events, from lively skate jams and dedicated girl-only sessions to special event programming.
On designated game days, The Cage will surface from below ground, ready to host invitational three-on-three seasonal football leagues, competitive community tournaments, and open play sessions, fostering a dynamic environment for football enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, The Front Room serves as a vibrant cultural hub, showcasing works from both emerging and established London artists. Beyond exhibitions, it will facilitate a rich programme of workshops, panel talks, and pop-ups. The inaugural exhibition features compelling works by renowned photographer Alasdair McLellan, with new exhibitions slated to be displayed every two to four weeks, ensuring a fresh and evolving artistic experience.
This area also provides a dedicated retail space where the collaborators will present exclusive Nike x Palace drops, offering fans direct access to their collaborative products.
Further empowering the next generation of talent, The Residency offers invaluable studio space to six emerging creatives on a nine-month rotating basis. Participants benefit free of charge and are afforded the unique opportunity to exhibit their work in The Front Room. Applications for the next intake are scheduled to open in spring 2026.
Lev Tanju, co-founder and creative director of Palace, expressed his vision for the project, stating, “We had an idea of creating a large space for the community that would be about skateboarding and sport, and a space you could generally hang out in. When we spoke about the project, we knew Nike was the only brand in the world that could make something like this happen. We want Manor Place to be something positive for London — a city that has given us so much — and we’re really excited to give something back.”
Gareth Skewis, fellow Palace co-founder, reinforced this sentiment, adding, “Lev and I wanted to try and create something new, something that’s really community-based. That’s a word that is often bandied about without any real meaning behind it. I want Manor Place to be somewhere safe and friendly where people can skate, play football and discover new things — all just down the road from where Palace was founded.”
The opening of Manor Place is synchronized with the highly anticipated launch of the P90 collection. This collection draws inspiration from early 2000s football culture, meticulously designed to appeal to both skaters and dedicated football fans alike.
The P90 collection features a comprehensive range of apparel, including distinctive shell suits, football jerseys, and trainers, all adorned with bold P90 graphics. It also incorporates signature hoodies, tracksuits, sweaters, shorts, and T-shirts, prominently featuring the iconic Palace Tri-Ferg and a layered Nike Swoosh, seamlessly blending the identities of both brands.
