Nona Source Opens Annual Luxury Deadstock Sale to the Public for the First Time
Nona Source, the pioneering specialist in deadstock materials, is set to host its much-anticipated annual "Grande Braderie" from December 2 to 6. This year marks a significant evolution for the event, as it will be open to the general public in France for the very first time, building on the company's expansion into offering high-quality leather materials since last year.
Incubated within the prestigious LVMH group, Nona Source plays a crucial role in promoting circularity within the fashion industry. The platform empowers emerging brands and designers by providing access to dormant inventories from leading fashion houses, boasting an impressive catalog of 5,000 references across fabrics and knits, alongside 500 in leathers and skins. Since 2021, Nona Source has organized "Grandes Braderies" to further facilitate the movement of these valuable materials, offering additional discounts to a dedicated community of enthusiasts.
The decision to open this year's "Grande Braderie" to a wider audience represents a strategic step forward. As co-founder Anne Prieur du Perray explained to FashionNetwork.com, this approach is vital for finding buyers for materials that, while still exquisite, might be older and lack the precise origin and composition details now stringently required by major brands. This initiative not only reduces waste but also extends the lifecycle of luxury materials, reinforcing Nona Source's commitment to sustainable practices.
Attracting over 3,000 visitors annually, the "Grande Braderie" will move from its previous location at Nona Source’s La Caserne premises in Paris (10th arrondissement) to the striking glass roof of Quartier Général in Paris (11th arrondissement). This edition will also introduce an exciting new feature: a dedicated space created in partnership with Shindo, a renowned specialist in high-quality ribbons and a wide array of accessories, including buttons and zips, offering even more creative possibilities for attendees.
Adding another layer of innovation, this year's event will host a competition for students. Participants will be challenged to utilize materials thoughtfully collected by Nona Source from the LVMH group’s Maisons to create new designs. The judging panel for this inspiring competition will be led by the celebrated designer Jeanne Friot, who recently won the 2025 Grand Prix de la Création de la Ville de Paris in the highly regarded "Fashion Engagement" category, underscoring the event's commitment to fostering future talent and sustainable design.
