Off-White Partners With Mondottica for Bold New Eyewear Collection
Off-White, the iconic luxury streetwear brand, has officially announced a new licensing agreement with UK-based eyewear specialist Mondottica for the production and distribution of its upcoming eyewear line. This significant partnership is set to introduce a fresh collection of innovative frames, further solidifying Off-White's presence in the lifestyle market and enhancing Mondottica's impressive portfolio of high-end brands.
The highly anticipated inaugural collection resulting from this collaboration is scheduled to make its grand debut at the next edition of the prestigious Silmo trade show in Paris, running from September 26-29. Following its première, the full collection will become available on the market starting January 1, 2026, coinciding with the Spring/Summer season launch. Manufactured with meticulous attention to detail in Italy, the line will feature an extensive range of unisex eyeglasses and sunglasses, embodying Off-White's signature aesthetic and commitment to quality.
The sunglasses segment of the collection boasts an impressive array of 30 distinct frames, crafted from both premium acetate and durable metal, and presented in a sophisticated palette of six different colorways. Complementing this, the eyeglasses range offers 24 unique models, also utilizing acetate and metal constructions, available in an even broader selection of seven appealing colorways. This diverse offering ensures that Off-White customers will find eyewear that perfectly complements their individual style.
For Mondottica, this deal represents a considerable boost to its luxury brand stable, which already includes notable licenses such as Palm Angels and Vivienne Westwood. Tony Pessok, CEO of Mondottica, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "Elevating our eyewear offering, Off-White is an innovative thought leader within the luxury sector. We are pleased to develop and showcase its range of genderless optical and sun styles for the next generation of luxury consumers." This highlights Mondottica's strategic vision to cater to a forward-thinking demographic.
On the Off-White side, the move is seen as a natural extension of its brand identity and a key step in broadening its reach. Joey Gabbay, CEO of Bluestar Alliance, Off-White’s parent company, emphasized the importance of eyewear to the brand’s clientele: “Eyewear has always been an extension of personal style for Off-White customers. This partnership strengthens our ability to develop eyewear collections that serve our global community, while expanding Off-White’s presence in a key lifestyle category.” This underscores the brand’s commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its global community.
Off-White was founded in 2013 by the visionary designer Virgil Abloh, whose profound impact on fashion continues to resonate even after his passing in 2021. The brand is now owned by Bluestar Alliance, with Ibrahim Kamara currently serving as its creative director, continuing to steer Off-White’s innovative direction. This new eyewear venture with Mondottica promises to uphold Abloh's legacy of pushing boundaries and delivering products that fuse high fashion with contemporary culture.
