Piquadro Group Navigates Market Shifts with Steady Revenue and Direct-to-Consumer Strength

Piquadro Group has released its financial results for the first six months of the financial year, concluding on September 30, 2025. During this period, the group's total revenue reached €88.4 million, marking a modest increase of 0.7% compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. This growth figure incorporates the impact of exchange-rate movements, indicating a resilient performance in a dynamic global market.

Delving deeper into brand-specific performance, the Piquadro brand recorded revenue of €36.6 million, experiencing an 8.1% decrease in sales during the same six-month interval. Despite this, Marco Palmieri, the business's President and CEO, highlighted several positive outcomes. He specifically noted the robust performance of direct-to-consumer channels, which encompass both online sales and retail stores, across all three brands within the group. Palmieri affirmed that these positive results validate the significant technological and organizational investments made over the past two years.

Conversely, the wholesale channel faced challenges, as detailed by Palmieri. This segment was notably affected by a strategic choice to implement selective distribution for both the Piquadro and The Bridge brands. This calculated decision, according to the CEO, was a deliberate move aimed at strengthening the overall market positioning and brand equity of these core labels, even if it led to short-term impacts on wholesale figures.

Looking ahead, Marco Palmieri acknowledged the prevailing market conditions, characterized by ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainties. These factors, coupled with volatility in consumer spending and tourist flows, make precise forecasting a complex endeavor. However, he expressed confidence in the group's trajectory for the second half of the financial year. This optimism is primarily driven by the sustained positive momentum observed in directly operated stores and e-commerce platforms for both Piquadro and The Bridge brands, alongside strong performance across all channels for Maison Lancel. Consequently, the group anticipates that its second-half performance will align with the results achieved in the first six months.
