Reebok Expands in Brazil with New Eyewear Partnership
Reebok is set to significantly expand its presence within the dynamic Brazilian market through a newly established licensing agreement with RobSol Indústria Óptica. This strategic partnership focuses on Reebok's eyewear division, marking a crucial step in the U.S. sportswear giant's efforts to offer high-quality, locally relevant products tailored for the region's consumers.
Under the terms of the agreement, RobSol Indústria Óptica, a company recognized for its optical manufacturing prowess and deep understanding of the Brazilian consumer landscape, will take on comprehensive responsibilities. This includes the design, manufacturing, and distribution of a wide range of Reebok eyewear products across Brazil. The portfolio will encompass Reebok-branded sunglasses, optical frames, various eyewear accessories, and essential swim goggles, all developed to meet the specific needs and preferences of the local market. Bruno Pedroso, Head of Brazil at Authentic Brands, Reebok’s parent company since 2021, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, stating that RobSol's expertise makes them the ideal partner to bring Reebok’s eyewear vision to fruition, balancing performance, innovation, and style.
Consumers across Brazil can look forward to the initial launch of the Reebok eyewear collection, which is slated for November 24, featuring 22 distinct styles. The full, comprehensive collection is projected to be progressively rolled out and available nationwide by March 2026. This extensive distribution will leverage major optical chains, key distributors, and select e-commerce partners, ensuring broad accessibility for consumers throughout the country.
Zhao Fengdi, CEO of RobSol Indústria Óptica, expressed considerable pride in forging this partnership with Authentic Brands. Fengdi emphasized the shared commitment to excellence and innovation, guaranteeing that the new eyewear offerings will reflect both RobSol’s renowned craftsmanship and Reebok’s rich, sport-inspired heritage. RobSol's impressive portfolio includes successful celebrity lines such as Sabrina Sato Eyewear, Carmen Vitti by Carla Diaz, and Femme Paris by Deborah Secco, alongside other prominent brands like Disney, Ecko Unltd, Fox Eyewear, and Romano, underscoring their extensive experience and strong market position.
This strategic alliance for eyewear in Brazil further solidifies Authentic Brands' continuous efforts to bolster Reebok's global footprint. It also aligns with broader organizational developments, including the recent appointment of Daniel Schachne as Senior Vice President of Reebok earlier this month, signaling a period of strategic growth and operational enhancement for the brand under Authentic Brands' leadership.
