Shein Bets Big on Europe with Massive New Logistics Hub in Poland

Chinese online retailer Shein has significantly expanded its European operations with the opening of a major new logistics centre in Wroclaw, Poland. This facility is set to become the company’s primary distribution hub for the continent, promising quicker delivery times to its extensive customer base of over 100 million shoppers across Europe.

The investment in the Wroclaw centre represents a substantial commitment to Poland, with Shein now generating at least 5,000 jobs within the Lower Silesia province. The company initially established its European logistics presence in Poland in 2022, and this new centre builds upon that foundation.

Shein highlights the advanced technology integrated into the new logistics centre, including state-of-the-art robotic picking systems and fully automated sorting lines. These innovations are designed to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ultimately accelerate the order fulfillment process.

The facility boasts an impressive 740,000 square metres of logistics space within the Wroclaw region, demonstrating the scale of Shein’s ambition for its European market. Leonard Lin, President of Shein for the EMEA region, emphasized the strategic importance of Wroclaw, stating, “We are proud to officially open our new facility in Poland, where Wroclaw, in particular, has been a strategic base for our European logistics since 2022.”

Lin further explained the factors driving Shein’s choice of Wroclaw, citing its advanced warehouse facilities, robust infrastructure, convenient transportation links to key European cities, and access to a skilled workforce. He concluded by expressing the company’s commitment to continued job creation and enhancing the overall customer experience.
