The Couture Club Launches First Footwear Line with Axis Sneaker and Digital Growth Push
UK fashion brand The Couture Club has marked a significant expansion of its product offering with the introduction of its first-ever footwear, the Axis Sneaker. This launch follows closely on the heels of news regarding a strategic upgrade to the brand's digital aspirations, signalling a period of rapid growth and innovation for the Manchester-based company.
The Axis Sneaker is proudly presented as a design "born from the raw energy of skate culture," envisioned as a "classic skater silhouette, reimagined" through The Couture Club's distinctive aesthetic. Ross Worswick, co-founder and creative director of the brand, shed light on the design philosophy during a pre-launch statement, explaining, "We wanted to create something that felt familiar, but completely redefined." He further elaborated, "The Axis takes cues from classic skate silhouettes we all grew up around, but through our own lens -- cleaner, sharper, more elevated. It’s about bringing that everyday wearability into a space that still feels premium."
To commemorate this pivotal footwear launch, The Couture Club orchestrated a special weekend event, transforming the Manchester Social into the exclusive CC-Social. This immersive experience offered attendees a sneak preview of forthcoming collections and exclusive offers, all part of a unique collaboration with MCR Social. A highlight of the pop-up event was the availability of a special limited-edition iteration of the Axis Sneaker, expertly reimagined by renowned footwear designer and creator Jordan Watkins, available solely at the Manchester location.
For a broader audience, the complete range of the Axis Sneaker is set to become widely available from mid-December, stocked at prominent retailers such as Flannels and Selfridges. This strategic placement underscores The Couture Club's ambition to reach a wider, premium market.
Further solidifying its growth trajectory, The Couture Club recently appointed Verde Digital, a specialist in fashion SEO, to enhance its online presence. This partnership is a key component of the brand's overarching strategy to "accelerate growth across existing and new product ranges."
