Valentino's Milan Flagship Reopens on Via Montenapoleone After Grand Renovation
Valentino has officially reopened its iconic Milanese address at 20 Via Montenapoleone, marking the return of a landmark boutique that has served affluent international shoppers since its original establishment in 1969. The store, which temporarily closed its doors in 2022 to undergo extensive renovations, now emerges as a completely transformed flagship, solidifying its presence in one of the world's premier luxury shopping destinations.
The history of the boutique traces back to an initial entrance on Via Santo Spirito 3. Over several decades, the location has been the subject of successive expansions, ultimately leading to its current, significantly larger iteration. This evolution culminated in the creation of a grand main entrance at 20 Via Montenapoleone, establishing a more prominent and expansive retail footprint.
Now fully renovated, the flagship store spans an impressive 1,170 square meters across three meticulously designed levels. This vast space is thoughtfully organized to cater to its discerning clientele, featuring two distinct entrances directly from Via Montenapoleone, specifically dedicated to showcasing the men's and women's collections separately, ensuring a tailored shopping experience for each.
One dedicated entrance provides access to the women's universe, beginning on the ground floor with a display of Valentino Garavani bags and small leather goods, complemented by Valentino eyewear and beauty offerings. Ascending to the first floor, customers will discover the comprehensive women's footwear and ready-to-wear collections. The second and uppermost floor is exclusively designed for evening gowns, presented in generous spaces that also provide access to two private rooms, reserved for more exclusive client activities and personalized services.
Conversely, the other entrance, also fronting Via Montenapoleone, guides visitors into the men's world. This complete journey through the men's collections encompasses a full range of Valentino Garavani clothing and accessories, all curated to offer a sophisticated and immersive retail experience for male patrons.
To commemorate this significant reopening, Valentino has introduced a series of exclusive offerings and celebratory events. Two new limited-edition variants of its sought-after Valentino Garavani Vain line of bags are now available for purchase, exclusively at the Milan store. Additionally, the boutique will host a special preview of the Valentino Garavani and Vans collaboration, offering it to the Italian market a full week before its official global launch on September 12.
The festivities are set to continue on September 24 with a unique customization of the prominent flower stand situated between Via Manzoni and Via Montenapoleone. As part of this celebration, passersby will be treated to a special giveaway featuring a bespoke creation by renowned floral artist Thierry Boutemy, further enhancing the luxury experience surrounding the store's grand return.
