Watchfinder & Co. Opens Largest US Luxury Watch Boutique in NYC's SoHo

Pre-owned luxury watch specialist Watchfinder & Co. has officially opened its first dedicated U.S. storefront, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion. Situated at 152 Spring Street in SoHo, New York City, this new boutique represents the brand's largest retail space to date, spanning an impressive 1,600 square feet, and signifies its inaugural permanent presence in the American market.

The New York flagship boasts the largest shoppable collection of its kind in the United States, showcasing over 600 meticulously authenticated pre-owned watches. This evolving catalogue caters to diverse tastes, featuring highly sought-after vintage icons, discontinued rarities, and current bestsellers that are often unavailable at traditional retail due to extensive waitlists. Enthusiasts will find a wide array of prestigious brands including A. Lange & Söhne, Cartier, Omega, Panerai, Tag Heuer, Vacheron Constantin, and many others, all under one roof.

Every timepiece available at Watchfinder & Co. undergoes a rigorous 60-step authentication and preparation process, meticulously carried out by a team of highly accredited watchmakers. Beyond purchasing, the new SoHo location also offers customers the valuable opportunity to sell or trade-in their own watches, providing a comprehensive service for collectors and first-time buyers alike.

Arjen van de Vall, CEO of Watchfinder & Co., expressed his enthusiasm regarding the opening, stating, “Opening our first dedicated storefront in the United States is such an exciting landmark for Watchfinder & Co. and a momentous step in our growing international presence.” He further highlighted the U.S.'s deep appreciation for luxury watches and the craftsmanship they embody, emphasizing the brand's mission to make this world more accessible to everyone, from seasoned enthusiasts to new entrants. Establishing a permanent home in New York City, a global luxury hub, aims to foster deeper connections with local customers and showcase Watchfinder's renowned expertise, service, and unparalleled selection of pre-owned timepieces.

Founded in the UK in 2002, Watchfinder has rapidly ascended to become a global leader in the pre-owned luxury watch market. Its trajectory saw a significant boost in 2018 with its acquisition by Richemont, the parent company behind luxury maisons such as Cartier and IWC. Today, Watchfinder & Co. operates across eight markets, boasting a network of 17 showrooms and boutiques worldwide, solidifying its reputation as an authority in the industry.

Eduard Caumon, Watchfinder & Co.’s US country manager, elaborated on the strategic importance of this expansion. “Having enjoyed a growing presence in the US since 2020, both online and through our retail partnership with Nordstrom, we are beyond excited to be able to truly build on that relationship this year,” Caumon stated. He underscored the personal and significant investment involved in buying a watch, stressing the importance of creating trusted physical spaces like the new SoHo boutique. These spaces allow customers to engage with experts, receive personalized advice, and experience the watches firsthand. The new store is envisioned not just as a showcase for their extensive selection, but as a destination where U.S. clients can connect with the Watchfinder & Co. brand on a more profound level.
