Wax London Expands Globally With New London Store and Hong Kong Concessions
Wax London has concluded a remarkably active year of growth and strategic expansion, significantly broadening its retail footprint both domestically and internationally. This period has seen the contemporary British menswear brand open its fourth store in London, alongside establishing two new concessions in Hong Kong, marking a pivotal chapter in its development.
The latest addition to Wax London's London presence is situated in the Canary Wharf district, a location the brand describes as "one of the capital’s most dynamic retail destinations." This new store meticulously embodies Wax London's core focus on "craft, character, and detail," with an interior design carefully curated to complement its diverse collections and distinctive style. The space is designed to showcase the brand's full menswear range, including accessories, footwear, and its recently launched fragrance line. Noteworthy design elements within the store include a reclaimed vintage drapers’ cabinet positioned mid-floor, a captivating gallery wall of framed campaign imagery behind the service counter, and adaptable modular single-hanging rails and louvre-panel accessories that allow for flexible merchandising. A double-sided SEG lightbox further enhances the space, adding both depth and visual impact. Roger Wightman, managing director at Wax London, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Opening our fourth London store is a huge milestone for the team. This year we’ve worked hard to ensure each retail space truly reflects the ethos of Wax London. Canary Wharf is an incredible location.”
Expanding its international reach, Wax London has also made a significant foray into Hong Kong with two new concessions. The brand has established a presence within Kapok’s flagship store on Sun Street and also in its Newtown Plaza unit. The Kapok Sun Street flagship, a 1,500 sq ft space that combines two previous stores, now proudly houses a curated selection of Wax London's offerings, further accentuated by a dedicated branded window installation. The partnership extends to the Newtown Plaza store, where additional merchandising and signage have been implemented, effectively highlighting this new collaboration and strengthening the brand's visibility in the region.
This period of expansion caps a truly buoyant 12 months for Wax London, characterized by a series of strategic milestones. The year commenced with the successful launch of its inaugural fragrance, a move that diversified its product portfolio. This was closely followed by further store openings, including its debut outside the capital in the Leeds Victoria mall. Other significant developments included the unveiling of an SS26 campaign that notably linked the UK market with the brand’s burgeoning expansion into the US. Furthermore, Wax London diversified its product offerings with successful launches into denim and a significant collaboration with Italy’s Fracas, marking its entry into the boot market. These collective achievements underscore a period of impressive growth and strategic brand development.
