Wax London Expands UK Footprint and US Operations Ahead of 10th Anniversary
Wax London, the independent menswear fashion brand, is currently navigating an exceptionally busy period as it prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The brand is making significant strides in both its domestic and international growth strategies, marked by the upcoming launch of its first regional UK store outside of London and a major expansion of its operations in the United States.
The highly anticipated UK expansion will see Wax London open its doors in Leeds next month. The brand has strategically chosen the Redical-operated Victoria Leeds mall, specifically a 2,392 sq ft unit within the destination’s historic Victoria Quarter. This new location positions Wax London alongside established British heritage brands such as Barbour, Mulberry, and the recently launched Belstaff store, underscoring its commitment to a premium retail environment.
The new Wax London store in Leeds is set to showcase its signature range of "character-filled" men’s fashion. Customers can expect a diverse collection that meticulously incorporates a wide array of fabrics, weaves, textures, patterns, and prints, reflecting the brand's unique aesthetic. Complementing its apparel, the store will also feature Wax London’s full offering of footwear and accessories. Roger Wightman, managing director at Wax London, commented on the significance of this move, stating: “Our decision to launch outside of London for the first time is a major milestone for our brand, so it was crucial we partnered with a destination that fully reflects our values. Quality is key to us, and Victoria Leeds's reputation and premium tenant mix perfectly encapsulate this.”
Adding to the sentiment, Rachel Bradburn, Head of Leasing at Redical, expressed enthusiasm for the new addition: “This aligns perfectly with our commitment to curating a best-in-class retail offering. Wax London will not only enhance our menswear offer but also introduce a fresh dynamic to our tenant mix.” This collaboration highlights a shared vision for delivering exceptional retail experiences to consumers.
Simultaneously, Wax London is making a substantial push into the US market with the establishment of a new shipping hub in Columbus, Ohio. This strategic move is designed to cater to its rapidly expanding Stateside customer base. The brand has confirmed that the new facility will enable "faster delivery, free returns, and free shipping on orders over $100 for American customers," significantly enhancing the online shopping experience.
Beyond direct consumer benefits, the Columbus, Ohio, hub will also play a crucial role in fulfilling wholesale and marketplace orders. This operational upgrade is expected to "significantly strengthen the brand’s presence in the US," positioning Wax London for continued growth and deeper market penetration across the Atlantic.
