Wax London Eyes US Growth with New Ohio Distribution Hub and Enhanced Customer Experience
London-based menswear brand Wax London is embarking on a significant strategic initiative, intensifying its focus on the US market to substantially drive sales growth. At a time when many UK companies are grappling with the complexities of international trade, Wax London is taking proactive steps to enhance the shopping experience for its American clientele, signaling a strong commitment to its transatlantic expansion efforts.
A cornerstone of this renewed US strategy is a significant overhaul of its logistics and customer service offerings. Wax London is now making shopping easier and more appealing for US customers by introducing free returns and complimentary shipping on all orders exceeding $100. Crucially, the brand has partnered with a new logistics provider in Columbus, Ohio, enabling it to ship products directly to US customers from within the country for the very first time. This pivotal change promises faster delivery times, access to a wider selection of styles, and, perhaps most importantly, eliminates the high return fees that US shoppers previously encountered, thereby removing a significant barrier to purchase.
Beyond direct-to-consumer improvements, the new facility in Ohio is set to play a broader, instrumental role in Wax London's American operations. It will facilitate the fulfillment of wholesale orders, and importantly, enable new dropship and marketplace partnerships. These expanded capabilities are expected to provide a substantial boost to the brand's presence and market penetration across the United States. Roger Wightman, Managing Director of Wax London, articulated the significance of this moment, stating it as "a significant moment for the brand, in which we’re bringing Wax London closer to our US customer, improving our logistics, maintaining our pricing position and broadening our offering. The US is a key market for Wax. This is the next step in our US growth with more exciting opportunities in the pipeline.”
This strategic push into the US market is set against a backdrop of considerable activity and growth for the 10-year-old label. Demonstrating its dynamic approach to product development, Wax London recently unveiled its first-ever selvedge denim collection earlier this month. The brand also diversified its offerings significantly last year with successful launches into fragrance and loungewear, expanding its lifestyle presence. Furthermore, its physical retail footprint in its home market grew with the opening of a new store in London’s bustling Covent Garden, underscoring a period of robust expansion and innovation across all facets of the business.
