White Stuff Fetches National TV Attention With Rescue Dog Christmas Campaign
TFG’s White Stuff brand is making a significant leap into television advertising with the launch of its festive campaign, featuring its own customers and their beloved rescue dogs. This initiative marks a strategic move for the lifestyle retailer as it introduces its "Walkies in a Winter Wonderland" campaign, a heartfelt celebration of community, connection, and canines, all while supporting the commendable efforts of Woodgreen Pets Charity.
The campaign’s cornerstone is White Stuff’s first-ever national advert, which has begun airing on ITVX. Running until December 19th, the campaign includes both 60-second and 30-second commercial spots. These films are meticulously crafted to capture the authentic, charming chaos of real dog walks set against the picturesque backdrop of a British woodland, showcasing genuine White Stuff customers alongside their cherished four-legged companions.
According to the company, this new advertisement signifies White Stuff’s sustained commitment to brand-building and compelling storytelling. The primary goal is to significantly boost awareness and consideration among new audiences. Furthermore, the campaign aims to solidify its evolving identity as a modern British lifestyle brand that champions community, creativity, and genuine connection.
Dogs have always been an integral part of the White Stuff narrative, reflected in their long-standing "Pets Welcome" policy, which warmly invites four-legged friends into every store and their head office. To truly embody this spirit and uphold its commitment to featuring real people, White Stuff initiated a social media casting call, inviting customers and their dogs to participate. The main ad proudly features dogs like Gandalf, Stevie Nicks, and Obi, alongside Maggie, a resilient three-legged golden retriever, and Brooklyn, a rescue dog from overseas, adding an authentic and heartwarming touch to the campaign.
Emma Spratt, Head of Brand at White Stuff, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "This Christmas marks an exciting moment for White Stuff as we invest in national BVOD for the first time." Extending the campaign’s concept beyond screens, White Stuff is also taking the festive spirit into its physical stores. On November 8th, selected stores will host a special ‘Doggy Day,’ inviting customers and their canine companions to visit, shop, and enjoy festive perks, including a gift with purchase and an exclusive discount on White Stuff’s Christmas dog jumpers.
The entire campaign was developed by White Stuff’s in-house team, with creative agency Weirdo playing a pivotal role in the development and creation of the heartwarming "Walkies in a Winter Wonderland" film, bringing this imaginative concept to life for a national audience.
