Zales Redefines Jewelry Shopping with Interactive “The Edit” Concept

Fine jewelry retailer Zales is redefining the shopping experience with the launch of “The Edit,” a new retail concept currently debuting in select markets. This innovative approach moves away from the traditional jewelry store model, aiming to create a more engaging and destination-focused environment for customers.

“The Edit” stores are characterized by open layouts, integration of digital technology, and a focus on curated storytelling. While maintaining Zales’ reputation for high-touch, personalized service, the new concept introduces features designed to appeal to modern shoppers. These include rotating seasonal collections, interactive product displays, and dedicated spaces for customization, allowing for a dynamic and fresh retail experience.

Customers visiting “The Edit” can expect a highly interactive journey. They can personalize jewelry pieces, utilize digital tools to scan items and create virtual “wish lists,” and benefit from one-on-one consultations. These collaborative spaces are designed to facilitate styling advice, custom design projects, and even host community events, fostering a sense of connection and engagement.

Currently, “The Edit” locations are open in Chandler, Arizona (Chandler Fashion Center); Denver, Colorado (Cherry Creek Shopping Center); and Austin, Texas (Barton Creek Square Mall). Zales plans to expand the concept further, with upcoming stores slated for Atlanta, Georgia (Cumberland Mall and South Point Shopping Center) and Jacksonville, Florida (St. John’s Plaza) in early 2026.

According to Zales president, Kecia Caffie, “The Edit reflects how our customers want to experience jewelry today—hands-on, connected, and personal.” She emphasizes the goal of creating a space where product discovery is seamless and each piece has a compelling narrative. This launch represents a significant step in Zales’ broader transformation, building on the momentum of its 2025 “Own It” rebrand. Zales currently operates over 422 stores across the nation.
