Zara Teams Up with LVMH Prize Winner Soshiotsuki for

Inditex Group's flagship chain, Zara, is further solidifying its presence in the high-fashion landscape through a strategic expansion of its designer collaborations. In its latest high-profile initiative, Zara has partnered with the acclaimed Japanese label Soshiotsuki, the distinguished winner of the LVMH Prize 2025. This comprehensive project, titled "A Sense of Togetherness," spans womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear, and is designed to explore profound themes of human connection and intergenerational bonds.

The "A Sense of Togetherness" collection is deeply rooted in nostalgia, drawing inspiration from Japan's vibrant cultural landscape of the 1980s and 1990s. The designs masterfully blend elements of classic tailoring with more organic and contemporary aesthetics, creating a unique and cohesive visual narrative. Each category within the collection offers a distinct yet harmonious expression of the overarching theme.

Specifically, the womenswear line is characterized by its fluid silhouettes and gentle proportions, offering a sense of effortless elegance. The menswear collection achieves a refined balance between structured forms and comfortable wearability. The childrenswear range, particularly intimate and evocative, draws directly from the designer's personal history, reflecting the charm of handmade pieces. Soshi Otsuki, the brand's founder, explained, "Many of my childhood garments were handmade by my mother, and that personal memory influenced the designs," highlighting the deeply personal touch embedded in the collection.

Soshi Otsuki also shared insights into the collaborative process, noting that this partnership with the Galician chain provides "a broader range of expression than Soshiotsuki could achieve on its own." This collaboration allowed for the exploration of diverse emotions through an elegant and poetic design approach. The highly anticipated collection will be available to customers starting December 4, accessible both online and in select Zara stores worldwide.

This collaboration with Soshiotsuki marks another significant step in Zara's ongoing strategy of forging international partnerships with influential creative talents. The brand has a successful track record of such alliances, including multiple collaborations with British stylist Harry Lambert, a menswear capsule collection launched in July with Ghanaian painter Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe, and more recently, a collection with Belgian designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin, which was inspired by the cinematic energy of New York.

Founded in 1975, Zara has grown into a global retail powerhouse, boasting a vast network of 1,759 points of sale by the end of 2024, encompassing both company-operated stores and franchises. Financially, Zara, combined with Zara Home, reported an impressive revenue of 27,778 million euros in the last financial year, representing a robust 6.6% increase over the previous year.

Zara operates as a cornerstone brand within the Inditex conglomerate, which is chaired by Marta Ortega. The group’s extensive portfolio also includes other renowned fashion labels such as Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull&Bear, Oysho, and Lefties. Across the same financial period, the Inditex group as a whole achieved a total revenue of 38,632 million euros, demonstrating a strong year-on-year growth of 7.5%.
