TikTok Star Gracious Teiyan Dies at 26 From Rare Blood Clot Disorder
The internet personality Gracious Teiyan has passed away at the age of 26.
The Kenyan news source Tuko indicated that Teiyan was taken to a hospital on September 14 after suffering from intense headaches. She passed away two days subsequent to this.
Paul Simat, Teiyan’s fiancé, informed the publication that her demise was caused by sinus thrombosis — a condition that the Cleveland Clinic characterizes as an uncommon disorder involving blood clot formation in the brain.
“Farewell, my beloved. I fervently prayed and implored God to restore you to me, but He decided to call you home instead,” Simat posted on TikTok after her passing. “My heart is heavy with sorrow, and I may never grasp the reason why — but I choose to place my faith in Him, for His wisdom surpasses my own. You will forever reside in my heart until we are reunited.”

In addition to his written tribute, Simat honored Teiyan — who had accumulated over 328,000 followers on TikTok — by uploading several individual photos of the social media personality, as well as others depicting the couple smiling. In one image, Simat and Teiyan shared a loving kiss while posing for the lens.

In a distinct TikTok upload, Simat shared a video of himself unboxing his diploma from the University of Nairobi — where he earned his degree mere days after Teiyan’s passing. In the recording, Simat revealed the dedication he had composed for his late fiancée.
Within the dedication, he conveyed his gratitude to Teyian for her “unwavering support, encouragement, and belief” in him, which had served as a “constant source of strength throughout this journey.” He further stated, “Your affection and commitment have been an ongoing reminder that, together, we are capable of reaching even greater milestones.”
Simat captioned the video, “I genuinely thought forever implied we would navigate life together, come what may. My conviction in our bond surpassed any other belief I’ve ever held. In just two days, we were destined to stand together and commemorate the achievement of my graduation — a significant moment I yearned to share with you. Yet now, forever feels like an interminable expanse without you, and I can't help but ponder if I will spend the remainder of my life yearning for the only person who truly felt like home.”
